What was those of us in the weight room learn about this strategy? Today John reviews a research study done looking at ball speeds when tennis players do and don’t grunt and uses the applications section to go in depth in discussing grunting in the weight room and the performance, ego, and gym rules factors surrounding it. Maybe some lower key gyms need to chill out and let their members we as loud as they want. That’s John’s opinion, tune in to hear why he thinks that. John always reviews the full text of every article, but to see the abstract of the study discussed, click here: http://journals.lww.com/nsca-jscr/Abstract/publishahead/Grunting_in_Tennis_Increases_Ball_Velocity_But_Not.97500.aspx
