Most of us hear about the possible greater gains in muscle size and strength with eccentric training, but how universal is this style of training and what is the reason for these potentially better gains. The study reviewed on today’s show points to greater muscle activation of the quads with eccentric training likely due to heavier loads lifted as compared to concentric training.
