238: Stubborn Calves – Does Foot Position Matter?

Posted by John Bosse on

?????????????

Calves are one of those stubborn bodyparts many of us are always looking for ways to bring up. One common detail discussed is whether or not foot placement makes any difference in developing the two heads of the calves. Today’s research study compared externally vs. internally rotate feet on calf muscle activation and then leads to discussion on how much different hand and foot positioning matter in practical training. There is also discussion on weak point training frequency, volume, and overall programming strategy. John always reviews the full-text of each study review on the show, but to see the abstract please go to: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20581696 .
