When John first started weight training it was fairly common for people to take a week off once in a while. As science has evolved more and more people say it's better to just keep training through in fear of losing any gains. John's stance has been somewhat on the fence, being able to see a case for either side. Today's article was the first he'd seen actually showing molecular signalling pathway to support the idea that some time off once in a while is needed to restore sensitivity of the pathways that build muscle!
